Men's Ministry

2019 has been a year of transition, trials, and triumphs for the Men’s Ministry. We have seen God call us to a higher level of accountability and responsibility. We are faithfully moving forward in the direction that God is calling us. We want to hear Him say well done thou good and faithful servant.

Highlights from 2019
We attended the Grid Iron Conference in April at Providence Baptist Church. The theme was “Good Man, Great Family’. The fellowship with other men was outstanding. And the preached Word was impactful. We are looking forward to going again in 2020!

Our Mother’s Day Breakfast was an outstanding success. The Men’s Department came together and provided the Mothers with a hearty, delicious breakfast made with love. We stepped it up a notch and served the Mothers in the Fellowship Dining Hall. Because we know our Mothers deserve nothing less than the best!

In June we had an opportunity to attend a Men’s event sponsored by New Community Church. It was such a blessing to see over 300 men worshipping God, playing games, having fun. And we received a free meal to top it off. God is good!

In September we were blessed to participate in the taking Dominion Conference for Ohio North Men’s Department

2021 has been a year of testing, trials, and triumphs. Through everything we have experienced, we have grown wiser and stronger. To God be the Glory for He brought us through.

Highlights from 2021

  • We were able to bless our Mothers with beautiful gifts for Mother’s Day. We wanted to show·  them how much they are loved and appreciated.
  • Our Barbershop Talk completed the last lesson in our 33 the Series Authentic Manhood. This series has blessed the men with the relevant topics, biblical based teaching and thought provoking lessons. Each man has been able to glean valuable information that has practical applications to their lives.
  • rn October we had Annual Men’s Power Week. Our theme for this year was ”A Call for Unity” Let’s come together. We had good participation from the men during the week.
  • Tuesday Night Prayer has grown significantly since we have changed to prayer line format.. We have seen an increase in the number of men who participate on a regularly basis which is encouraging.
  • Mens Check In continues to be a great way to share bible scriptures and fellowship for the men.

Our Barber Talk Shop has been doing 33 the Series Authentic Manhood. This series has challenged our thinking, made us uncomfortable, and challenged us to be honest. Thank God for a reality series that empowers men to do better.

Tuesday Night Prayer has been our anchor throughout this year. We our thankful for the commitment from the Adult Bible Fellowship to participate with us on the fourth Tuesday of the month. Thank you for your support. We also excited about the increased participation in the prayer line by other partners and friends.

Older men are to be sober-minded, dignified, self-controlled, sound in faith, in love, and in steadfastness.
Titus 2:2

Likewise, you who are younger, be subject to the elders. Clothe yourselves, all of you, with humility toward one another, for “God opposes the proud but gives grace to the humble.”
1 Peter 5:5
